Special "A Dinner in Sicily" Box

Everything you need - or almost everything - to prepare unforgettable first courses!

In this box, we've collected some local products we selected during visits to various producers in the Sciacca area, the surrounding coastal area, and its hinterland. We evaluated many options, but those that ended up in this box are the only ones that passed the scrutiny of all of us on the Bataranni team!

Here's what the "A Dinner in Sicily" Box contains:

- BATARANNI Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Sciacca), 1 500 ml bottle . "Tenuta Paolo Ciaccio" DOP EVO Oil, + 1 500 ml bottle . "Timpirussi" EVO Oil, a blend of Cerasuola, Biancolilla, and Nocellara olives from the Sciacca coast.

LE FARINE DI CATERINA Tagliatelle (Sciacca), 1 500g package. Made with Sicilian durum wheat semolina, bronze-drawn and slowly dried at low temperatures. Made from ancient Sicilian stone-ground grains.  

- LE FARINE DI CATERINA Trecce (Sciacca), 1 500g package. Made with Sicilian durum wheat semolina, bronze-drawn and slowly dried at low temperatures. Made from ancient stone-ground Sicilian grains.   

-SCALIA tuna fillets (Sciacca), 1 200g glass jar. In olive oil. No added salt. 

-SCALIA Anchovies (Sciacca), 2 x 45g packs, with case. The anchovies you usually find as freebies during Bataranni promotions! Increasingly in demand by our customers. In sunflower seed oil. 

CASA MONTALBANO Tomato Sauce (Sambuca di Sicilia), 1 420g bottle. Ready-made Sicilian tomato sauce. It can be used as a base for other dishes, but it's delicious on its own!

***EACH BOX CONTAINS A SMALL PAINTED AND GLAZED SCIACCA CERAMIC BOWL***. This is a unique piece, produced by the artist Eugenio Sclafani, one of Sciacca's greatest master ceramists, still active today. Each box includes a different complimentary bowl. The designs are traditional 19th-century, using only primary colors. Some of the illustrations can be seen on the new labels for our 2025-2026 EVO oil, which were inspired by our local ceramic tradition. The ceramic bowl is suitable for food storage and features the workshop's stamp on the bottom.
